Thank you to our July volunteers

Updated: Aug 1, 2023

On Saturday morning a group of residents banded together at Pinter Lane green to litter pick and to give our play area benches, plus the footbridge across to Maybell Close, a couple of much-needed coats of paint. A short time and much laughter later, the results were impressive.

A special welcome to Pam and Janice, new volunteer members who headed home sporting more than a dab or two of paint.

Twelve months has passed since our resident directors were appointed by Brooklands property owners. Hopefully, improvements are becoming visible as they continue to implement changes, such as the replacement of RMG's contractors with local businesses. Our new ground care team have managed to turn around our weed infested grassed areas and have removed damaged and vandalised plants and trees. Under the terms of our deed, these trees will be replaced, starting in the Autumn of 2023. Large tree specimens are on order and when planted, will be protected with 2m high guards, sadly needed due to the intensity of costly anti-social behaviour on our estate.

Brooklands directors are working with the local police and WLDC to connect at least two CCTV cameras to our township's 24 hour surveillance centre in an effort to improve resident safety.

The three blocks of flats managed by Brooklands have had repairs made and entrance doors repainted. Mid-Lincs cleaning now contracted to ensure our managed block communal areas are maintained to a higher standard.

Following the 100% favourable vote by members at our AGM, supported by Martin & Co lettings, our off-road allocated parking areas now have spaces renumbered to match the properties that own and are responsible for their upkeep. In addition, the 23 visitor spaces on Brooklands are more visible in yellow. Please remember these spaces are available to short-term visitors to Brooklands and that no one occupier can claim exclusive right to monopolise a VP space.
